We are closely following the directives and recommendations of the World Health Orgnization’s statements and the Swedish authorities guidelines. We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests and associates. On a daily basis, Hotel Kungshamn works to ensure that the latest guidance meets on hygiene and cleaning. We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures developed in consultation with global and local public health authorities to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:

• Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent hand washing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. In our daily meetings, our teams are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It’s important for their health and that of our guests. We remind and encouraged hotel guests to wash their hands frequently and carefully. We have increased the deployment of hand sanitizers.
• Ongoing Training: Training on housekeeping and hygiene protocols, and completing enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.
• Cleaning Products and Protocols: Hotel Kungshamn’s housekeeping professional staff use gloves and change them between every room or public areas cleaned, they use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses, including:
  • Guest Rooms: Hotel Kungshamn use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items.
    Laundries are washed in 95 degrees water by our certified laundries.
  • Public Spaces: Hotel Kungshamn have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, stairs, public bathrooms and even room keys.
  • Back of House: In the spaces where staff works “behind the scenes,” Hotel Kungshamn increase the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like entrances, locker rooms, laundry rooms and staff offices.
